ELVIS AND WEIN & MOZART A SELECTION OF FILM AND VIDEO FROM COLLEZIONE MORRA GRECO

CURATED BY ALESSIA VOLPE

Naples is Collezione Morra Greco’s home, but a place where it has hardly been shown. Comprising over one thousand works by around two hundred artists and spanning almost three decades, it began in the nineties after Maurizio Morra Greco’s interest for contemporary production and it grew alongside his laboured project for Fondazione Morra Greco as we know it today.
The exhibition is titled after ‘Elvis and Wein & Mozart’ by Jonas Mekas (2001) and it features some of the most innovative works of moving image – including 16mm films, 35mm slides, screening installations, and digital projections –, spread over the five floors of Palazzo Caracciolo di Avellino.
