San Stomak Day

Talk con Antoni Miralda e Federico Del Vecchio

14.10.2025 \\

Fondazione Morra Greco is pleased to host, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 6:00 PM, within the spaces of its Educational Department, a talk dedicated to the celebration of San Stomak Day, a project by Catalan artist Antoni Miralda.

Curated by Federico Del Vecchio – founder of Flip Project, an independent curatorial initiative established in Naples in 2011 – the talk will feature a conversation between Del Vecchio and Antoni Miralda, offering an in-depth look at the themes and evolution of San Stomak Day, an event that blends art, food, ritual, and collective participation.

About San Stomak Day

Launched in 2008 by the FoodCultura Foundation in Barcelona – founded by Antoni Miralda and chef Montse Guillén – San Stomak Day aims to contribute to the global conversation around food and the contradictions it reveals within contemporary society.

Now in its 17th edition, the project expands its reach through SMK TRIP 2025–2026, bringing its message to a wider international audience. On October 16, 2025 – coinciding with World Food Day, established by the FAO – San Stomak Day arrives in Naples, marking the first Italian stop of the tour.

The Walk – October 16

To mark the occasion, a Walk will begin at 6:30 PM from two symbolic locations: the courtyards of the Department of Architecture on Via Monteoliveto and Via Forno Vecchio. The two processions will converge in Piazza del Gesù, where – accompanied by musicians, lights, and anyone who wishes to join the celebration – the collective ritual will proceed through Spaccanapoli and Piazzetta Nilo, finally arriving at Flip Project on Via Giovanni Paladino 8, the core site of the Neapolitan celebration.

Starting at 7:30 PM, visitors will be welcomed to explore the San Stomak installation at Flip Project and take part in the ritual of offerings: participants are invited to bring a personal symbolic offering, contributing to a moment of shared reflection and community.

Installation Viewing

The San Stomak installation will be open to the public by appointment at Flip Project Gallery until November 16, 2025.
