Children’s Museums

EDI Agora Talks

December 9, 2025 \\

The second EDI Agora Talk, part of the public program of Fondazione Morra Greco for EDI Global Forum 2026, will examine children’s museums as a model of interactive and participatory learning. What can we learn from their design and pedagogical approaches that could be applied to museums more broadly?

The event will take place exclusively remotely via the Zoom platform.

In Europe and beyond, children’s museums are becoming increasingly dynamic, adopting play-based methodologies, multidisciplinary approaches, and co-creation of content and exhibitions. Children actively participate in shaping concepts, exhibition design, workshops, creative spaces, and events.

These features make children’s museums an inherently democratic model: they reduce the gap between institutions and the public, making museums more accessible and responsive to visitors’ needs and participation. The talk will explore the potential of this model as a foundation for the concept of a “museum for all”.

The event, part of Road to EDI Global Forum, will include presentations by Andrea Zsutty, Director of the ZOOM Children’s Museum, Vienna, and Giovanni Petrone, Le Nuvole & Pompeii Children’s Museum.

The discussion will be moderated by Sylvain Bellenger, EDI General Director.

The Zoom link will be sent via newsletter the day before the event. For further information, please send an email to info@fondazionemorragreco.com.
