EDI Agora Talk
The third EDI Agora Talk, part of Fondazione Morra Greco’s Public Program for EDI Global Forum 2025, is dedicated to the Slow Museum: a reflection on the museum as a space of “slow time,” freedom, and individual growth, capable of distancing itself from the pressures of competition and productivity.
Inspired by the ethics of “slow” movements, the meeting focuses on the museum as a place of concentration and contemplation, where aesthetic and cultural experiences regain depth and meaning. In an era marked by constant acceleration, the museum emerges as a privileged space where time can become “dense” once again, and the gaze is transformed into a tool for critical thinking.
The Agora Talk will feature guest speaker Maurizio Corbetta, Professor and Chair of Neurology at the University of Padua, who will address the topic from a neurological perspective, analyzing the roles of speed, time, and perception in visual processes. Jules Bernstein, Assistant Curator in the Department of Architecture and Design at MoMA, will also contribute to the discussion. The meeting will be moderated by Sylvain Bellenger, Director General of EDI.
The event will take place exclusively online via Zoom on Friday, January 30th, at 5:00 PM (CET).
The access link will be sent via newsletter the day before the event.
